bhūrīṇi bhūrikarmāṇi śrotavyāni vibhāgaśaḥ |

ataḥ sādho’tra yat sāraṁ samuddhṛtya manīṣayā |
brūhi bhadrāya bhūtānāṁ yenātmā suprasīdati ||

śrīdharaḥ : na ca bahu-śāstra-śravaṇe’pi tāvataiva phala-siddhir ity āhuḥ—bhūrīṇīti | bhūrīṇi karmāṇy anuṣṭḥeyāni yeṣu tāni | samuddhṛtya yathāvad uddhṛtya | yenoddhṛta-vacanena ātmā buddhiḥ saṁprasīdati saṁyag upaśāmyati ||11||
Translation
 Only by reading many scriptures one cannot determine the ultimate welfare of life. So the sages said this verse.
Those scriptures described many rituals of karmakānḍa to be practised for ultimate welfare of one. So you please tell us the essence of all scriptures selectively so here the word samuddhṛtya is used. And that instructions from the scriptures may clear our heart.
